  • MBSR with Adriana Moreno-Zarate

    This workshop draws on the popular Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program and includes mindfulness practices, insights, and dialogue to enrich everyday life. Graduates of this course report reducing anxiety, improving sleep cycles, increasing ability to respond to stress situations, as welll as faster recovery after facing difficult events.

    Adriana Moreno-Zarate is an instructor in the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program (MCSR), and qualified by the University of Massachusetts Midnfulness and Medicine Center. Adriana teacher this program to teachers in the Miami Dade school system and has extensive experience teaching Yoga and Meditation at the University of Miami.

    This Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) workshop combines elements of cognitive therapy with different meditative and attitude-based practices for the cultivation of wellness within the mind and body.

    Dr. Joshua Rooks is a clinical psychologist, mindfulness instructor and researcher who has received qualified training in MBCT from the UCSD Center for Mindfulness. He leads mindfulness programs for individuals and groups within clinical, medical, and professional as well as sport and performance settings.

    MBSR with Lucas Irwin

    In this 8-week program, participants will learn about mindfulness and practices to increase self-awareness, self-regulation, and compassion, as well as tools to cope more effectively with both short- and long-term stressors. Each week’s 2.5-hour session includes mindfulness insights along with guided mindfulness practice and group discussion. No prior experience or knowledge of mindfulness is required. Graduates of the course report improved focus, sense of connection, and the capacity to recover more quickly from challenging events. 

    Tuesday Evening MBSR with Lucas Irwin

    February 18th - April 7th, 2020
    Tuesday Evenings from 6:15pm - 8:45pm
    All day: March 21st, 9:00am - 5:00pm

    *Please note that during this course the instructor will be audio recording himself as part of his continued development. Portions of the course audio may be shared with a teaching supervisor. All recordings will be deleted and will not be stored for future use.
